Peter E. de Janosi – Chairman

Peter de Janosi is a founding member of the Board and became Chairman in 2008. Mr. de Janosi is an economist by training, spent much of his career at various US foundations, most notably at the Ford and Russell Sage Foundations. His main interest has been the financing and management of research organizations.

Kirsty Bonner

Ms. Bonner joined the Board in 2007 and since then she has been a leading supporter of UPEACE/US. In 2008, Ms. Bonner was awarded the United Nations-mandated University for Peace ‘Ambassadors Award’ for her excellence in advancing the mission of the University. She is an accomplished Brokerage Manger for ICAP in their New York Office for the past 15 years.

Mary Losty

Mary Losty joined the Board as a founding member in 2005. She is an accomplished portfolio manager with an extensive career in asset management and investment banking and currently operates Cornwall Asset Management. Prior to her work in finance, Mary served as Chief of Staff for James Schlesinger, former U.S. Secretary of Energy and Defense.

Winstead (Ted) Rouse

Ted has been a member of the Board since its founding in 2005 and has continued to support the organization through his family foundation, the Jim and Patty Rouse Charitable Foundation. Ted serves as President of Healthy Planet LLC, a Baltimore based company that works on sustainable economic development in Central and South America.

Ying Wang

Ms. Ying Wang has served on the Board since 2006. Her major thrust is in supporting the organization’s revenue generating activities. Ms. Wang has over twenty years of experience in private and public sectors in China and the US and is currently the Chairman of Oriental Oil & Gas.

Nicholas C. Martin (Ex-Officio)

Nick is the Executive Director of UPEACE/US and has been with the organization since graduating from the Peace Education Masters program at UPEACE in 2006. Nick oversees all activities of the organization, both programmatic and operational, and is the chief liaison with the senior administrators at the University.
